Cancelling or changing a group bus booking
Party bus by the hour, or a bus with a driver for a local trip, an airport run or an event, in ten US metros.
Price shown before you commit, confirmed before you pay.
Group plans shift: a date moves, a venue changes, a headcount drops. This guide explains in plain terms what happens if you need to cancel or change a request before or after a vehicle and operator are confirmed. The full legal terms live on our cancellation policy; this guide is the plain-language version.
Before an operator is confirmed for your trip
While your request is still in the pricing or planning stage, before a specific local operator has been confirmed for your date, you can cancel freely. At this stage, nothing has been committed on your behalf yet, so cancelling has no cost.
After an operator is confirmed for your trip
Once we have confirmed a specific vehicle and operator for your date, a cancellation window applies, because the operator may have turned down other work to hold your date and operators may require a deposit at that point. The exact window and any non-refundable portion are set out on the cancellation policy page; we do not state a specific number of days or a specific dollar amount here because it depends on the operator confirmed for your trip.
Changing your itinerary instead of cancelling
If your plans shift but you still need a trip (a different stop, a later return time, a smaller group), tell us as soon as you know. We confirm whether the change is possible with the vehicle and driver already arranged, and confirm any price difference with you before anything changes. A change is often possible even close to your date; a full cancellation has a narrower window than a change does.
Refunds
Refunds are only issued for payments that have actually been made and verified; we do not process a refund against a payment that has not cleared. If you cancel within a window that qualifies for a refund under our policy, the refund is issued to the original payment method.
What we do not do
We do not charge a cancellation fee before an operator has been confirmed for your trip. We do not invent a fixed dollar cancellation fee that applies to every booking regardless of vehicle class or date, because the real cost of cancelling close to a date depends on the specific operator and vehicle involved.
Questions people ask about cancelling or changing
- How do I know if an operator has been confirmed for my trip yet? We tell you directly when your booking moves from "pricing" to "confirmed," which is the point the cancellation window begins.
- Can I move my date instead of cancelling? Often yes, subject to the new date's availability; ask as soon as you know your date might change, since this is usually easier to arrange than a late cancellation.
- What if the operator cancels on me? If a confirmed operator cannot fulfill your trip, we work to arrange a replacement or refund you; see the cancellation policy for the full terms.
Why book this way
- Your price online in minutes. No callback, no estimate visit, no waiting for someone to get back to you. Typically the quickest way to book this service.
- One all-in price before any contact. Of the national charter platforms we read, only BusBank publishes price ranges; the instant-quote sites show a number only after you submit your trip details (read 2026-09-16 and 2026-09-17).
- One point of contact from your request to the finished job. We work with a local partner and answer for the result.
- You pay only after the price and your booking are confirmed.
Get my price
The price we show is confirmed before any payment. If you are not sure whether a change or a cancellation fits your situation, contact us before assuming either one; a person can tell you the actual options for your specific booking. Checkout is a labeled preview until payments are enabled.
