Savannah/Hilton Head International publishes almost nothing about charter buses, so for an airport pickup the details have to come from the operator, and so does the proof it may work there. How does a bus pick up a group at SAV?

The airport's one relevant rule: "Local ordinance requires that all ground transportation companies be authorized by the Savannah Airport Commission in order to conduct business in the terminal" (read 2026-09-26). Its ground transportation and travel-tips pages name no charter curb, lot, door, fee or waiting limit.

What to do with that: ask the operator whether it is authorized by the Savannah Airport Commission, and where it will meet the group. If it is not authorized, plan the meeting point outside the terminal, for example at an airport-area hotel, rather than finding out at the curb. Give it every flight number, and have one coordinator call the driver when the group and its bags are together.

How do you check a Savannah operator?

Georgia licenses bus and limousine companies statewide through the Department of Public Safety's Motor Carrier Compliance Division, and its public database lets you check a carrier's status (read 2026-09-26). Georgia also requires a USDOT number from carriers that stay inside the state, so ask for it and look it up on FMCSA's SAFER Company Snapshot.
